Summer Genre Awards – The Ritas
Hello again! Today I have a new set of awards to share with you. While you might be inclined to dismiss these, romance novels are some of the most widely read novels in the United States (and with e-readers, it is all the easier to read them unobtrusively!) If you are interested in this at all, the following books have won the award for the best in their category for 2019, and would be a good place to start for high quality fun romps!
The Rita Awards: The RITA—the highest award of distinction in romance fiction—recognizes excellence in published romance novels and novellas. Awards are given in many different categories for lovers of specific sub-genres.
Contemporary Romance – Long: Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan
Baseball, romance and forbidden love by an author of color!
Historical Romance – Long: A Wicked Kind of Husband by Mia Vincy
A marriage of convenience in regency London turns into something more
Mainstream Fiction with a Central Romance: How to Keep a Secret by Sarah Morgan
Inter-generational family vacations, secrets and a little bit of love.
Erotic Romance: Three-Way Split by Elia Winters
An adult toy shop owner, her sexy friend and his equally sexy roommate – shenanigans ensue
Come back tomorrow for my August reading month, and tune in next week for new Science Fiction and Fantasy awards and more!
