My Reading Month: July
Hello everyone, For those of you new to this blog, welcome to my monthly reading update! Every month, I highlight some of my favorite reads – this can vary from an exceptionally good audio-book to something else that caught my fancy. I didn’t read a ton this month – I have been incredibly busy, and it has been really hot. There is something about high temperatures that just saps my interest in reading anything at all. The Danger of a Single Story
I want to share a video with you today, by an incredible author, Chimemanda Ngozi Adichie, called The Danger of the Single Story. I find myself thinking a lot about it these days, as I watch people sling insults, accusations and straw man arguments at each-other over seemingly everything. I have a lot of thoughts about how this talk and these ideas could be integrated into the discord I see today, but for now, I will let Adichie’s voice shine.
